The National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA) is pleased to announce the publication of NAPRA’s Annual Report 2023, titled NAPRA 2019-2023: A Journey of Growth and Success.

The report marks the successful conclusion of NAPRA’s 2019-2023 Strategic Plan, highlights of which include:

• Extensive activities in support of enhancing the culture of professionalism within the practice of pharmacy, including the publication of the Principles of Professionalism for the Profession of Pharmacy;
• Completion of an internal cross-jurisdictional agreement between pharmacy regulatory authorities related to pharmacy practice across jurisdictions in the public interest;
• Publication of five NAPRA documents, including NAPRA’s first Model Standards of Practice for Continuous Quality Improvement and Medication Incident Reporting by Pharmacy Professionals;
• Development and implementation of a project roadmap for a multi-phase, multi-year National Drug Schedules (NDS) Modernization Project, including the successful completion of the first sub-phase of eight and launch of the second; and
• Sustained efforts to support the continuous improvement processes of NAPRA members.

In addition to delivering on its 2019-2023 Strategic Plan, NAPRA continued to advance its planned activities in 2023, including managing the ongoing operations of the NDS program and effectively running Pharmacists’ Gateway Canada, the one-stop destination for international pharmacy graduates seeking licensure in Canada.
