The National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA) is pleased to announce the publication of NAPRA’s Annual Report 2020. Entitled “The Value of an Alliance in Unprecedented Times”, the report reflects how NAPRA organized itself and immediately adapted to assist its members, the pharmacy regulatory authorities across Canada, as they navigated the significant new challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to keeping essential NAPRA programs and services operating.

NAPRA’s ability to provide quick and effective assistance to its members as they focused their attention on regulatory and policy changes to support pharmacy professionals amid the unprecedented upheaval caused by the pandemic clearly highlighted the value of an alliance like NAPRA in times of crisis and protracted uncertainty.

In addition to its efforts to meet the unique demands of COVID-19, the NAPRA team also worked to advance several of the Association’s planned activities in 2020, including maintaining the National Drug Schedules, effectively managing Pharmacists’ Gateway Canada, moving the Pilot Program to Prepare for Practical Training (P4T) forward, pursuing initiatives to further the goals of NAPRA’s 2019-2023 Strategic Plan, and continuing its engagement with Health Canada and other stakeholders.
