NAPRA Privacy Policy

Purpose

The purpose of the NAPRA Privacy Policy is to outline our commitment to protecting personal information generated and/or maintained by the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA). 

This Policy applies to all personal information collected, used and disclosed by NAPRA as it relates to their operations, or their respective employees, members and others with whom they are conducting business. Information can be transmitted by electronic communications (e.g., email, website, social media platform), written correspondence or via verbal exchanges. “Personal information” is defined as information about an identifiable individual and includes but is not limited to details that are shared with NAPRA, whether or not it is requested, a name, date of birth, residential address and phone number, personal email address or assigned identification numbers (e.g., social insurance number, individual registrar account numbers, etc.). Personal information does not include job titles, business addresses (including email addresses) and business phone/fax numbers.

NAPRA reserves the right to change this policy and it may be updated periodically. These changes may affect the use of personal information. Accordingly, please check for changes regularly. 

The NAPRA privacy policy practices:

  1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you, including through the website, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
  2. Choices available to you regarding the use of your data.
  3. Security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
  4. Correction of any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

NAPRA is the sole owner of the information collected through electronic communications (e.g. email, website, social media platform), written correspondence or via verbal exchanges. We only have access to collect information that you voluntarily give us via contact from you. We will not share, sell or rent this information to a third party.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us or to provide specific information regarding programs or services that we offer and for which you have expressed specific interest in receiving.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about programs or services.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contact from us at any time. You can reach NAPRA via the email address or phone number provided on the website to:

  • Confirm what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concerns you have about our use of your data.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, scheduling decisions) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers and any paper copies of information on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
